Florida Tech Teammates Sign for 2014 Season

The Boca Raton Lightning are pleased to announce the signing of middle infielder John Yurso and outfielder Andrew Calderone.  Yurso, a freshman from Altamonte Springs, FL (Orlando Area) attended Bishop Moore High School and played travel ball with the CFBL Elite, one of Florida's premier high school travel ball teams.  As a senior, Yurso hit .330 and led his team in runs scored.  Calderone, a freshman outfielder from Stuart, FL attended South Fork High School and as a senior hit .310 with 7 doubles and 2 home runs.  He was also named Defensive Player of the Year at South Fork.  Calderone played high school travel ball for the All-American Prospects, one of Florida's premier travel ball teams where he hit . 346 with 10 doubles and 16 RBI's.  "We are excited to have these two young players apart of our league and the Boca Raton Lightning Organization", said South Florida Collegiate Baseball League President Vince Farfaglia.  "Florida Tech always does an outstanding job recruiting players, it's always a pleasure to have their program players in our league".
