Tyler Garrison of Las Vegas, Nevada has signed to play with the Boca Raton Lightning for the summer 2014 season.  Tyler, a freshman at Olympic Junior College in Bremerton, Washington (Seattle Area).  Tyler attended Arbor View High School in Las Vegas where he played outfield and pitched as a closer.  Tyler will play outfield for the Lightning and see innings out of the bullpen as his fastball reaches 90 MPH.  Tyler also represented Nevada in the National Power Showcase Home Run Derby in Miami at Marlins Park.  Garrison displayed tremendous power there hitting three home runs in with his longest being 419 feet.  Tyler stated that he chose to play in the South Florida Collegiate Baseball League and for the Boca Raton Lightning because he fell in love with the area after competing in the Miami event.
