Paul Menendez (University of Bridgeport) went 3-for-3 with a walk and Shane Bussey (University of Maine) went 1-for-4 with 3 RBI, but the Palm Beach Blazers held on to beat the Lightning 10-6 at Miller Park on Thursday.

The Lightning (1-2) came within two runs in the eighth thanks to Bussey's two run single, but saw the Blazers push across three runs in the ninth thanks to Devin Del Priore's three run homerun. 

Austin Edwards (Mid American Nazarene) tossed two shutout innings in relief to keep the Lightning in the game.

The Lightning return to action tomorrow (Friday 6/6/2014) against the West Palm Beach Eagles at Forest Hill HS.

First pitch is set for 5:00pm
