Cabrera Helps the Lightning Down the Barracudas 4-0

Alex Cabrera (Maine) went 2-2, helping the Delray Beach Lightning (10-10) to a 4-0 victory over the Phipps Park Barracudas (9-6) on Tuesday at Miller Park.

He singled in the second and fifth innings.

Peter Castillo (Palm Beach State) put together a nice outing. The Phipps Park Barracudas managed just one hit off of Castillo, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out eight during his four innings of work.

A bright spot for the Phipps Park Barracudas in the defeat was Raymond Catena (Broward College), who allowed only one run while striking out five.  The Southern Mississippi transfer has had a great year for the Barracudas.

Patrick Hueller (Rollins) got the win, running his season record to 2-0. Hueller struck out seven, walked one and gave up four hits.

Anthony Hotujec (Palm Beach State) was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed one run.
