Lightning Down Barracudas in First Playoff Game

Adam Genners (Manhattan) went 2-4, sparking the Delray Beach Lightning (17-18) to a 7-2 victory over the Phipps Park Barracudas (15-13) on Friday at Miller Park.

He singled in the sixth and ninth innings.

The Phipps Park Barracudas had no answer for Alex Demchak (Florida International) who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Demchak gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out six during his four innings of work.

Chris Jordan (Florida Tech) improved to 2-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Delray Beach Lightning. Jordan struck out two, walked one and gave up two hits.

Miguel Castellanos (Faulkner State) couldn't get it done on the hill for the Phipps Park Barracudas, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
