Ben Coffman

Assistant Coach

Growing up on the shores of Lake Erie in Fairview, Pennsylvania, Ben forged his love of baseball as a first baseman in little league play. In high school, as a pitcher he helped lead his team to the PIAA state playoffs as team captain. He was also selected as a member of the Erie County All Star team. Ben had the good fortune of being awarded an athletic scholarship and was a starting pitcher throughout his college career.

During his sophomore and junior summers, Ben had the opportunity to play for the South Florida Collegiate Baseball League with the Boca Raton Blazers. He was honored to represent the Blazers as a pitcher in the 2018 All-Star Game. During the summer of 2021, Ben played for the Edmonton Steamers in the Premier Collegiate League in North Carolina. In 2022, Ben graduated from Bluefield University in Virginia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Multidisciplinary Sports Science. Ben’s love of the game remains strong and he is currently an Assistant Coach for the Conneaut Lake High School baseball team near his hometown.  Ben is very excited to be returning to South Florida this summer and is eager to help young athletes develop and improve their skills this season.
